MOVE FOR HUNGER
INTRODUCING MOVE FOR HUNGER
Ivy Residences proudly partners with Move For Hunger to help fight food insecurity in Chicago.
When residents move out, they often find things they don’t want to move to the next location with them: food. But in Illinois, over 1.2 million people face food insecurity, and 315,300 of those affected are children. What if there was a way to keep those items from being thrown away and instead, brought them to facilities where they would be distributed for free to those in need?
That’s where Move For Hunger comes in, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that works in Chicago and across the nation to support this exact situation. Residents simply drop their non-perishable food items off at our office, and Move For Hunger picks these items up and transports them to local food banks and food pantries for distribution.
No hassle or extra work on the part of our residents, just an easy way to give back.
