Bike Program
Ivy Residences’ bike program provides a seamless option for getting around Hyde Park for its residents. Whether you’re heading to the grocery store, Chicago’s Lakefront Trail, or The University of Chicago, biking is a convenient and enjoyable way to reach your destination. Chicago embraces bike riding with designated bike lanes, bike stoplights in the downtown area, and plenty of outdoor bike racks around the neighborhood. Bike Program
To reserve an Ivy bike, simply pay a $100 deposit. The deposit will be refunded within 30 days if the bicycle is returned in its original condition, reasonable wear and tear excluded. If the bike is returned with excessive wear or with parts missing/damaged, a portion of or the entire deposit will be forfeited. Ask your leasing consultant or resident services team for more information.
Our bike program only provides bicycles. Ivy Residences advises purchasing a bike lock and helmet.
How to Rent
Select communities at Ivy Residences are equipped with bike rooms and bike racks. If you are unsure if your community has a designated bike room, please ask your property management team or watch a quick tour of your apartment community.
Once you have reserved a bike, it is under your care. Before you ride your bike, we recommend always checking the tires, brakes, and handlebars. We recommend servicing your bike regularly to ensure that it remains in working condition. When storing your bike, always ensure it is securely locked to a bike rack. If the bike is lost or stolen, you forfeit your deposit.
At the end of your lease term, return your bike to the Ivy Residences office located at 1421 E 53rd Street, Chicago, IL 60615. Your resident services team will inspect the bike with you to ensure that you are aware of any charges that will be deducted from your deposit. Please allow up to thirty days for your deposit to be refunded. If your bike is not returned by the end of your lease term, your deposit will be withheld.
