Pumpkins in the Park
October 30th, 1 PM to 4 PM
Taking place on the south end of Nichol’s Park, this event will bring fun for the whole family. Starting with classic pumpkin carving, you can also enjoy a myriad of different special craft activities. Additionally, there will be music magic time and Halloween stories! Costumes are strongly encouraged, and there will even be fun photo backdrops to get your perfect pic.
Upside Down Halloween Parade
October 22nd, 12 PM to 3 PM
This event is proudly declared as the Grand Opening of Chicago Halloweek 2022! This event is free, family-friendly, and focuses on celebrating Halloween as an “artists’ holiday”. This Halloween event in Hyde Park will feature dance performances, circus acrobats, musical groups, sports mascots, and more.
Arts in the Dark Halloween Parade
October 29th 6 to 8 PM
To wrap up the weekend of spooky, fun, check out the Arts in the Dark Halloween Parade. This parade once again celebrates Halloween as an artists’ holiday and draws together several renowned organizations to create memorable and unique performances. Get ready for unique floats, spectacle puppets, and creative performances.
Haunted Hyde Park Tour

If you’re looking for something to do for Halloween in Hyde Park or just something to get your spooky fix in the neighborhood then this is for you. Haunted Hyde Park reveals the real-life stories of Magic, Murder, and Mayhem in your very own neighborhood. The walking tour is led by locals who are familiar with all of the twisted tales and takes about 2 hours.
FREAKS ’22: 4th Annual Halloween Party
October 30th, 10 PM to 2 AM
Of course, if you’re looking for a place to party for Halloween in Hyde Park, look no further than the Promontory. Freaks 2022 is the 4th annual Halloween Party by the venue. Expect a night filled to the brim with Reggae, Afrobeat, Soca & Hip-Hop. Special guests include a DJ and dancers, and costumes are strongly encouraged!

Halloween is a fun and festive time, and Hyde Park Collabooration is an annual tradition where members of the neighborhood focus on filling the streets with light and positive activity. You can be a part of Hyde Park Collabooration by leaving porch and house lights ON, heading outdoors, and being active on your block.
